From October 18th-21st, Sisters Rosaria, Theresa, and Cecilia Joseph journeyed to Cincinnati, Ohio to participate in the World Youth Day celebration hosted by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, and to plant the seeds for potential vocations! It was our first time staying in the state of Ohio, and we are grateful for all those who have made our stay there enjoyable.
We were also able to meet up with two of our Sisters from our Mother Community in Vietnam: Sister Doan and Sister Kha, who were also there through invitation to participate in the World Mission Sunday celebration, and explain their mission work in Vietnam with the native K'Ho people to the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.
The World Mission Sunday celebration in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati was a wonderful experience. Seeing the many different Asian communities there gave us a clear sense of how universal our truly Church is. And we were all there to celebrate and radiate the joy and love that is in Christ!!
During our time there, we met many young and enthusiastic people who were ready to lend a helping hand and make us feel welcome to the city. We wish to thank Father Chau Pham, SVD, pastor of Our Lady of La Vang Church and to all those we have met (you know who you are!! :) ). You will be always in our prayers, and may God, Mother Mary and St. Joseph bless you abundantly!
All in all, it was a truly successful trip to Ohio. If it is God's will, we hope to come visit again someday, and maybe next time, it will be in reverse, and they'll come visit us!! :)

As of Sunday, October 13th, the Congregation of the Missionary Sisters of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of Mercy is now officially a member of the Council of Major Superiors of Women Religious (CMSWR)!! This council was canonically erected in 1992 for women religious in the United States, committed to the ongoing revitalization of religious life, remaining faithful to the Magisterium, and nurturing the Church's life and holiness.
Sister Rosaria and Sister Marta were happy to represent our community as official members at the council that weekend. We thank God for this blessed opportunity to grow in our faith and consecrated life!
