On Thursday, August 7th to Sunday, August 10th, some of our Sisters traveled to Carthage, Missouri to attend the 37th annual gathering of Marian Days on the grounds of the Congregation of the Mother Coredemptrix. Although we have attended this event many times in the past, this was our first time opening a vocation booth at Marian Days, in hopes of casting out into the deep and drawing in zealous souls eager to serve our Lord.

We had many visitors to our booth, including some VERY young visitors, who may be our potential vocations for the future, God willing of course!! Our Sisters were very joyful and enthusiastic to talk about their own vocation stories, on how they came to be a Sister of Mary Queen of Mercy. We pray that the first CMRM seedlings planted during this year's Marian Days will produce much fruit!
The gathering itself this year was certainly one of a kind. One would have to be there to see the enormity of the crowds! This year's number of attendees grew significantly, especially with the number of priests and religious almost equal to each other, with many of them coming from Vietnam to attend this well-known gathering.
Overall, the experience of attending Marian Days is something one has to do to realize its great impact. Just being among the thousands of Vietnamese Catholics across the United States, even outside the States, was an uplifting sight. To see all of Mary's children gathered together to give honor to her, and in the end give glory to her Son, was a wonderful sight to behold. May Mother Mary bless all those who attended this event in honor of her!!
