On August 27th-September 2nd, a number of our Sisters took a community trip to Texas, visiting Houston, San Antonio, and Fort Worth. It was a great time for Sisterhood bonding and sightseeing. The number of churches we visited was great, from Our Lady of La Vang Church in Houston, the Vietnamese Martyrs Parish in Fort Worth, to San Fernando Cathedral in San Antonio, where we received a plenary indulgence for the Year of Faith. The best thing, of course, was being able to visit our Spouse in all the tabernacles of the churches! ![]() But of course, we also had fun! Visiting Sea World in San Antonio was a different experience from what we normally see here in Lincoln. All the animals one would see in the ocean were right before our eyes, doing funny things of course, but also showing the beauty that God gave each and every one of them. We also stopped by downtown San Antonio and walked along the RiverWalk, seeing the sights and smells of the city, while evangelizing by just our presence! According to some, we were treated more than celebrities, by the fact the people asked to take pictures with us and greeted us with a simple but enthusiastic "Hello Sisters!" We hope that they were touched by Christ, whom we bring to everyone we meet! These few days of our trip went by very fast, too fast to be exact, but we were very grateful for these 5 days together on this trip. We hope to have another one like this sometime in the future, God-willing of course. :) Click here to see more images from our trip!
