Six of our Sisters journeyed to Texas for a vocations trip on August 29-September 1st. They visited the Vietnamese parishes in the Fort Worth- Arlington area, which included Our Lady of Fatima Parish and Christ the King Parish in Fort Worth, along with the Vietnamese Martyrs Parish in Arlington, to speak about vocations in our community. It was also an opportunity to introduce our young community to those we meet and encourage vocations to the religious life.
Although the 10 hour drive down to Texas was long, the experience of visiting all three parishes made up for it! We were constantly moving nonstop between the parishes, visiting and talking with the young and old alike, while sharing our stories and learning more about theirs, especially with the young members of Thiếu Nhi Thánh Thể (the Vietnamese Eucharistic Youth Society).
We were also able to stop by the Thiên Tâm Benedictine Monastery, where some members of Thiếu Nhi Thánh Thể Miền Nam were holding their Cấp II training for Ngành Nghĩa, an unplanned decision! But we were so grateful to be able to visit them and talk to them about our community. We pray that God touched and opened their hearts to the possibility of religious life!
Overall, it was a wonderful experience for us to witness to the joy of religious life to those we met, and hopefully, through God's grace, He will inspire them to respond to His loving call!
